Intellego has put together a team of consultants that combine skills in investment management, capital markets, actuarial science, risk management, financial engineering, banking and corporate finance in order to effectively understand and address the investment peculiarities of institutional investors. Our consultants boast a combined 30 years’ experience in investment management and research, 20 years in corporate finance and advisory and 12 years in risk management. The wealth of our professional expertise and the diversity of our skill set enables us to deliver impactful outcomes for our clients, be they institutions looking to invest or corporates looking to execute a transaction. Welcome Mavingire, CFA
Managing Consultant
Welcome is a co-founder and Managing Consultant of Intellego. He has garnered over 23 years' worth of professional experience in capital markets research, trading, fund management and institutional fund advisory, corporate advisory and risk management, all garnered in both Zimbabwe and Botswana. A CFA Charter holder, Welcome holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, (Honours) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS). He is a past President of the Investment Professionals Association of Zimbabwe (IPAZ) and an active volunteer with the CFA Institute.
Itai W. Chirume, CFA, CIPM
Senior Consultant
Itai is a senior consultant and co-founder of Intellego. He has over 21 years of experience in treasury management, investment management corporate advisory and stockbroking. In 2008, he co-founded a brokerage house and investment advisory boutique, MMC Capital (Pvt) Ltd. Itai is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and also holds the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM). He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, a Bachelor of Commerce Finance Honours Degree and Masters of Science in Finance and Investment Degree. He is a registered legal practitioner, notary public and conveyancer in Zimbabwe.
Owen A. Namusi
Senior Consultant
Owen is a senior consultant and the head of Intellego’s Corporate & Risk Advisory Services unit. He was part of the firm's pioneering team in 2013. He has over 15 years’ experience in investment banking and investment management and has successfully executed advisory engagements including capital market transactions, strategic deal structuring, business valuations, alternative investment origination and risk advisory. Owen holds a B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Financial Engineering and is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Finance and Financial Law as well as the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Corporate Finance Qualification (CFq) certifications.
Runyararo Madzivire
Associate Consultant
Runyararo is an associate consultant with Intellego, with expertise in both finance and real estate management and valuations. Prior to joining Intellego, Runyararo was with Dawn Property Consultancy. She has over 10 years working experience in the administration of property investment portfolio comprising commercial, residential, industrial and specialised properties. Runyararo is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Finance from NUST and is a Registered Estate Agent and a Licentiate Member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe. She is also a member of Project Management Zimbabwe.
Tinotenda D. Gakanje
Associate Consultant
Tinotenda is an associate with over 4 years’ experience in investment analysis and capital markets research. She holds a Bachelor of Technology Honours Degree in Financial Engineering and is a CFA candidate.
Nyasha Mahowa
Analyst
Nyasha Mahowa is a holder of BCom (Hons) in Banking and Investment Management [NUST]. Joined Intellego in 2021 as an Intern, a role he took up to July 2023 and currently is an Investment Analyst within our team. Participant in the 2023 CFA Research Challenge Local Finals. Lazarus Masunungure
Investment Analyst
Lazarus is an Investment Analyst with Intellego. Prior to joining Intellego, Lazarus did his internship with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (2019-2020) where he was responsible for the overall surveillance and risk assessment of the local capital market. He also briefly worked for Spar Zimbabwe as a Trainee Manager (2022). Lazarus graduated with a first class in Bachelor of Business Studies Hons in Finance and Banking from the University of Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, he is considering pursuing CFA and master's in finance.
Tariro Baramasimbe
Associate Consultant
Tariro is an investment analyst. She currently holds a bachelor's degree in actuarial science and is a candidate for the Institute of Actuarial Science.
Tapiwa Muchengadare
Associate Consultant
Tapiwa is an associate Currently serving Intellego as an Associate Consultant for Alternative Investments. He has 9 years of financial services experience having served two local Banks as a Junior officer from 2014 to 2015 and 2018 to 2019. He also worked at the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation(SMEDCO) as a Business Analyst between 2017 and 2018. Tapiwa holds a Bachelor of Commerce Banking and Finance (Honours) degree and also studied for a Masters degree in Finance and Investments.
