Intellego has put together a team of consultants that combine skills in investment management, capital markets, actuarial science, risk management, financial engineering, banking and corporate finance in order to effectively understand and address the investment peculiarities of institutional investors. Our consultants boast a combined 30 years’ experience in investment management and research, 20 years in corporate finance and advisory and 12 years in risk management. The wealth of our professional expertise and the diversity of our skill set enables us to deliver impactful outcomes for our clients, be they institutions looking to invest or corporates looking to execute a transaction. Welcome Mavingire, CFA
Managing Consultant
Welcome is a co-founder and Managing Consultant of Intellego. He has garnered over 23 years' worth of professional experience in capital markets research, trading, fund management and institutional fund advisory, corporate advisory and risk management, all garnered in both Zimbabwe and Botswana. A CFA Charter holder, Welcome holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, (Honours) Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (CIS). He is a past President of the Investment Professionals Association of Zimbabwe (IPAZ) and an active volunteer with the CFA Institute.
Itai W. Chirume, CFA, CIPM
Senior Consultant
Itai is a senior consultant and co-founder of Intellego. He has over 21 years of experience in treasury management, investment management corporate advisory and stockbroking. In 2008, he co-founded a brokerage house and investment advisory boutique, MMC Capital (Pvt) Ltd. Itai is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and also holds the Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM). He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, a Bachelor of Commerce Finance Honours Degree and Masters of Science in Finance and Investment Degree. He is a registered legal practitioner, notary public and conveyancer in Zimbabwe.
Owen A. Namusi
Senior Consultant
Owen is a senior consultant and the head of Intellego’s Corporate & Risk Advisory Services unit. He was part of the firm's pioneering team in 2013. He has over 15 years’ experience in investment banking and investment management and has successfully executed advisory engagements including capital market transactions, strategic deal structuring, business valuations, alternative investment origination and risk advisory. Owen holds a B.Tech (Hons) Degree in Financial Engineering and is currently studying towards a Masters Degree in Finance and Financial Law as well as the Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) and Corporate Finance Qualification (CFq) certifications.
Runyararo Madzivire
Associate Consultant
Runyararo is an associate consultant with Intellego, with expertise in both finance and real estate management and valuations. Prior to joining Intellego, Runyararo was with Dawn Property Consultancy. She has over 10 years working experience in the administration of property investment portfolio comprising commercial, residential, industrial and specialised properties. Runyararo is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Honours Degree in Finance from NUST and is a Registered Estate Agent and a Licentiate Member of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe. She is also a member of Project Management Zimbabwe.
Lazarus Masungure
Associate Consultant
Lazarus is an analyst with Intellego, having joined the firm in 2022. Prior to that, he had worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe within the Capital Markets Surveillance division for his industrial attachment which gave him immense exposure to a diversity of market players and transactions. His experience spans from valuations, due diligences to engagements in capital market transactions. His experience has enhanced his skills in financial modelling, financial analysis and valuations. Lazarus holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Banking and Finance from the University of Zimbabwe and currently a CFA Level II Candidate.
Tinotenda Gakanje
Associate Consultant
Tinotenda has been with Intellego for over 6 years, having started on internship and joining its graduate training program after completing her Financial Engineering studies. She is analytical with passionate interest in finance. Since joining Intellego as an intern, Tinotenda has enhanced her skills in financial modelling, financial and investment analysis.
Tatenda Mashonganyika, CFA
Senior Investment Analyst
Tatenda has over 5 years’ experience in the pensions business having started his career with Zimnat Life Assurance where he gained exposure across actuarial, group life and pensions departments. He has also been largely responsible for ensuring clients have investment policy statements and monitoring execution of client investment decisions prior to joining Intellego on 1 March 2024. Tatenda holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the National University of Science and Technology. He is also a CFA Charterholder and currently pursuing studies towards the Certificate in Investment Performance Management also offered by the CFA Institute.
Tariro Baramasimbe
Associate Consultant
Tariro has been with Intellego initially as a student intern and thereafter joined the firm as a Graduate Trainee before her confirmation as an Associate Consultant effective 1 January 2024. During the period, she has gained immense experience across capital markets research, investment analysis, asset-liability modelling and institutional investor advisory. Tariro holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Actuarial Sciences from the University of Zimbabwe and is currently pursuing her professional studies with the Institute Faculty of Actuaries.
Tapiwa Muchengadare
Associate Consultant
Tapiwa is an investment professional who has served Intellego as an Associate Consultant in the Alternative Investments division since February 2022. Prior to his engagement, Tapiwa had served two local Banks (FBC Bank and CBZ Bank) as a Junior Officer after graduating with Bcom Banking and Finance from Midlands State University in 2016. Motivated by his interest in Investments, Tapiwa further studied for a Master of Finance and Investments with the University of Zimbabwe and is currently planning to pursue the Chartered Alternative Investments Institute program.

William Mavudzi
Investment Analyst
Accomplished professional with a robust academic foundation in Finance, Investments and Big Data Analytics. CFA Level 2 candidate, holding a Master’s degree in Finance and Investments. An OCI AI Associate who is also nearing completion of a Master of Science degree in Big Data Analytics. He is proficient in financial analysis, investment research and data-driven decision-making. Formerly excelled as an Associate Consultant at a local investment firm, providing strategic financial advice and solutions.
